This cheese has been created by the Burguera family, dedicated to the manufacture of high quality dairy products and some of its derivatives, on the farm owned by them. This farm is located in the south of Mallorca, in an area of great agricultural and livestock tradition, mainly dairy cows of the Frisian breed. Three generations of this family have been exploiting this cattle and agricultural farm by cultivating the land and producing food for their own cows, controlling and mixing the products of their farms with cereal-based feed.
Made from cow’s milk, milk ferments and rennet, without colouring or preservatives, packaged and distributed by members of the same family. This variety of semi-cured cheese has rested for 3 months, it is drier than fresh cheese but still has more water than those with a higher degree of ripeness. It is a handmade and unique product from Mallorca.
